Abidjan December 13, 2018 (Minister’s Office)….Minister Sidiki DIAKITE received in audience on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 in his office in Plateau, His Excellency KURAMITSU Hideaki, the new Ambassador of Japan to Côte d’Ivoire.
The talks between the two personalities were focused on areas of cooperation between the Ivory Coast and Japan, especially on the strengthening and consolidation of security projects.
SEM KURAMITSU Hideaki, during the conversation with Minister DIAKITE, showed a strong desire during his mandate to consolidate projects implemented in the security, but also economic and social areas. The diplomat said he was pleased with the improvement in security in Ivory Coast.
Recognizing the quality of cooperation that Ivory Coast maintains with Japan, the Minister of Interior and Security assured his guest of the commitment and will of the Ivory Coast authorities, especially the President of the Republic, to continue efforts and implement development projects in the field of security. “This is an essential and major issue for the development of Côte d’Ivoire and our department, faced with security challenges, is doing everything possible to secure our population,” said Minister DIAKITE.
At the end of the meeting, Sidiki DIAKITE and SEM KURAMITSU Hideaki promised to meet for consultations, the aim of which would be the further enrichment of Ivorian-Japanese cooperation.
