On sale for two days, Apple’s Pride Edition 2024 bracelet is starting to arrive to its customers. Since 2016 when Apple started producing this celebratory wristband (the first version was reserved for its employees participating in the San Francisco Pride march) the type of wristband used has varied.
Last year it was a fluoroelastomer model and for 2024, Apple returns to a single knitted loop as in 2021. Consequently, the price is not the same, since it goes from €49 in 2023. €99 each here. This is the same price as other Single Loop models.
The single buckle style has two advantages: it is one of the most practical to wear since it has no buckle and is very flexible; it’s the most comfortable for the same reason (provided you’ve taken the time to choose the right size out of 12 possible). Its disadvantage may be a tendency to relax over time. Those who have it will be able to testify if this is indeed the case.
The 2024 edition is made from an interweaving of colors formed from 16,000 colored polyester threads, woven around ultrafine silicon threads, Apple explains. As for colors, they have meaning, again according to Apple:
Black and Brown honors the Black and Latino communities, as well as communities affected by HIV/AIDS. Light blue, pink and white represent trans and non-binary people.
For the rest, it’s now a familiar bracelet model that we can wear at the same time as we show off the new Pride 2024 dial. pretty colorful neon effects integrated into watchOS 10.5.
