One of the events offered by the company is located in the game Minecraftthe famous pixelated sandbox that has already sold more than 300 million copies.

The goal is to be able to support players with difficulties, new ones or those who want to build buildings with complex architecture. The AI gives you advice on what to do, prevents you from making certain known mistakes, and supports you as an experienced friend could, without the limitation of having to share your screen or describe it.

Microsoft has chosen Minecraft to present the features of Copilot, and this is not surprising. Remember that the game is developed by Mojang Studio, an entity that belongs to Xbox, which itself is the gaming branch of Microsoft. The AI is currently limited to a sandbox game, that is, where the construction possibilities are free and endless, but it could eventually be applied to more complex titles, with guided storytelling, thinking and puzzle mechanics, which go to beyond the simplicity of crafting and assembling objects.
In terms of ease and naturalness, Copilot is still closer to ChatGPT-4o recently revealed in an OpenAI video. Both react promptly to the user’s statements, bounce on the information given, but mostly collected, and provide answers that are not only clear, but also full of humor and (artificial) witticisms.
