Versatile… but optimized for home products. So is introduced Oracle Code Assist.
Currently being tested internally, the service uses LLMs hosted at OCI. Oracle is currently demoing it on IntelliJ IDEA. And he confirms that it can also be accessed in Visual Studio Code, “among other things”.
By “internal products” we mean “specialized in Java, SQL and development on OCI”. Oracle also mentions SuiteScript, NetSuite’s scripting language.
To the picture of the major competing products to which Oracle Code Assist can be adapted code bases internal. Used technique: CLOTH (extended retrieval generation = integration of elements into queries, without retraining the underlying models).
In addition to the code (and associated filters to check for non-license violations), we were promised the generation of PRs, tests, comments, API documentation, etc. As well as a “new bug detection technique”.
Oracle highlights its expertise in Java/SQL… and the capabilities that come from it. Both in terms of the granularity of the generated code and the ability to modernize the code to take advantage of the latest versions of its products.
