After last weekend’s bad weather, appeals for donations are increasing in Moselle, as in Boulay where the union of community merchants is organizing this week a collection.
From yesterday until Thursday, between 4 and 6 o’clock in the evening, the trade union of Boulay (Moselle) ensures the collection and distribution of donationsroom of Saint-Étienne, burnt street, after the floods that severely affected the city.
“We had a lot of clothes, accessories and shoes, people really got involvednote Séverine Stano, president of the union, guest of echo d’ici on France Bleu Lorraine the day after the first collection. True solidarity was put in place, both to purify the city. Civil protection brought new sheets and blankets (…) The victims can come to help, we have everything classified by size and type and if some did not expect to come, which I can understand, we invite you to send someone or contact us privately.“
The distribution could continue after this week adds Séverine Stano: “we must limit ourselves when it comes to furniture. Many people offer sofas, furniture, etc. But we can’t store that. We will work with the municipality to identify the goods on offer, and to be able to go to private homes, to collect, if possible, the furniture.”
