Another contract in the stack of contracts signed by OpenAI. On Wednesday night, the publisher of ChatGPT announced a deal with one of the biggest media groups on the planet, News Corp. Multinational company of the Murdoch family, which, among other things, owns it Wall Street Journal, THE New York Post, The Sun, The Times or The Sunday Times, has signed an agreement for OpenAI to use its content for ChatGPT and train its models.

On both sides of the table, the comments were enthusiastic. This is “a proud moment for journalism and technology,” according to Sam Altman, director of OpenAI. “This historic agreement will set new standards for truth, virtue and value in the digital age,” added Robert Thomson, director of News Corp, confirming that OpenAI “understands the commercial and societal importance (…) of journalism.”
