Is it possible to reset my attributes in Cyberpunk 2077?

If you played Cyberpunk 2077 before the 2.0 update, there’s a good chance it made you want to go back to Night City. Thanks to a new talent tree, a new cybernetic implant system, new law enforcement, and new car chases, Update 2.0 brings a true rebirth of the CD Projekt game released almost three years ago. However, if you load up an old game to find your well-established character, you risk a bit of a surprise.

However, Before update 2.0, it was not possible to reset attribute points in Cyberpunk 2077. In theory, you could therefore feel like you’re stuck with a poorly optimized character that you’ve already spent several hours with. Don’t panic! It is now possible to reset your attributes in Cyberpunk 2077, and it is even very simple. But be careful, you can only do this once and under certain conditions.

If you’re worried you’ve failed your character in Cyberpunk 2077, you may still have a chance to save them. First of all, check if you need to reset your attributes. We remind you that the attributes are blue dots which you get at each level and which allow you to increase the level of one of the five branches of the game (constitution, reflexes, technical abilities, composure and intelligence). Behind each of them are advantages that can be unlocked with advantage points (yellow). If the latter is what you want to reset, know that you can do so at no cost since the 2.0 update. To do this, simply go to your skill tree and use the appropriate button to cancel the perk once it’s selected.

However, if you want to cancel attribute points, you’ll need to provide a few details. First of all, You will only be able to reset your attributes if you loaded a character before the 2.0 update. Then you will have to provide it you have never reset your attributes since this last one with the mentioned character. If these two conditions are met, All you need to do is go to the menu corresponding to the attributes and click on the “unset attributes” button in the lower left corner of the screen. A small additional detail: at the time of publication Phantom Liberty DLC, you will have the opportunity to play a new game and choose to create a character with direct access to DLC. If this is your choice, then you will start with a level 20 character with pre-selected attributes and cybernetic implants. Please note that just like if you loaded the game before 2.0, you will have the opportunity to reset this character’s attribute points only once by going through the same menu. Please note thatonce these chances are taken, it will no longer be possible to reset your attributes in Cyberpunk 2077. So use this opportunity carefully.
